Engineering Supervisor (ES)

The ES competence is required to be held by anyone who is required to set up and manage a worksite within an engineering possession on the rail infrastructure under the direction of a Person in Charge of Possession (PICOP). This includes the management of on and off-tracking Road Rail Vehicles (RRV’s) and engineering train and On Track Machine (OTM) movements within the designated worksite.

Candidates will also be shown how to hand over responsibility to a relieving ES and what information should be briefed to them before the relieved ES leaves the worksite.


Suitability - Who should attend?

Candidates must hold in date PTS for greater than 12months and TSC for greater than 6 months and have been designated as suitable by their Sponsor to enable them to attain the ES competence. Learning Support for previous competencies must be completed.


Outcome / Qualification 

On successful completion of the course, your documentation will be sent to Translink for issuing of the ES competency on the competency card.
